Changing Languages

Family Connections 1.1 and later have different language support. To setup a different language for the site (other than english), you must first download the Languages Pack. Rename the language file you would like to use to language.php and upload that file to the inc/ directory. Be sure that you upload your files in UTF-8.

Administration

The following sections are only viewable by members with an Access Level of Helper, or Admin.

 

Member Administration

You must have an Admin Access Level to view the Member Administration section. From here you can change other members Access Levels, activate members and edit and delete members.

Access Levels - Family Connections has three different Access Levels. These levels are meant to limit the amount of access each family member has to the website.

Message Board Administration

You must have an Admin Access Level to view the Message Board Administration section. This section allows you to edit or delete Threads. When editing a Thread, you have the ability to change a Thread to or from an Annoucement or change the subject of the Thread.

Polls Administration

Members with an Access Level of Helper or Admin can view this section. Here you can add, edit or delete the poll in the left hand side of the homepage.

Awards Administration

Members with an Access Level of Helper or Admin can view this section. Here you can calculate the latest Awards. Awards are calculated at the end of the month for the previous month. You must use FCMS for atleast a month before you can calulate awards.
