There are two ways to contribute code to Family Connections, either by adding modifications or by fixing bugs and adding feature requests.
Modifications
A modification is simply small enhancements to the site that you have coded and want to share with other users.
Modification are diferent from feature requests because modifications are not part of the Family Connections
code. They are like add-ons to the code. If you have coded or would like to code a modification please submit
the entire code to the Modifications Forum.
Bugs / Feature Requests
A bug is an error in the programming of Family Connections. Something becomes a Feature Request if and only if
the FCMS Development team decides that the feature needs to be a part of the code and not just a modification.
If you would like to help write code or have already written code to fix a bug or a feature request please send
and email to r_haudenschilt _AT_ hotmail _DOT_ com.
If you would like to translate Family Connections into another language, please download the latest version of FCMS and open up the inc/language.php file with your favorite text editor, changin all the text to the left of the => sign. Be sure to read the instructions included in the language file.
If you would like to create a theme for Family Connections, simply email send an email to r_haudenschilt _AT_ hotmail _DOT_ com with the name of your theme, the .css file and any graphics associated with that theme. Please read the Theme Creation Manual for help getting started.
